exists to identify and promote the
interests of children and young
people in the UK and aims to
increase their status in a diverse
society.


Further details: It seeks to improve the co-ordination of services for children and to ensure these services are child-centered. It works with policy makers and professionals in all sectors to disseminate knowledge and share good practice. Primary areas of work: The Bureau focuses on issues including residential care, early childhood development, disability, sex education, child protection and family support, children in care, parenthood, and juvenile justice. The Bureau is a national non- governmental organisation.
