This latest newsletter summarises progress to date towards universal prohibition of corporal punishment of children – including the addition of Albania to the list of states prohibiting it in all settings – and lots of newly published resources to support law reform from the Global Initiative. There’s news of bills which would prohibit being discussed in many states, as well as information on the growing prominence of the issue of corporal punishment in human rights jurisprudence, ongoing and new campaigns and calls for prohibition and many new research studies and reports.
