Organisation aims and activities: Catholic Relief Services was founded
in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of
the United States to assist the poor
and disadvantaged outside of the
country. Now with nearly 56 years of
experience, CRS is operating in 82
countries. CRS operated in Albania in
five Prefectures: Tirana, Durres,
Elbasan, Fier and Kukes.


Further details: CRS has committed itself to maintaining a long term development programme. This programme will include key sectoes such as education (PSP - Parent School Partnership programme), peace and justice (e.g. Information Centres), microfinance, community services and food assistance (Food for Peace Programme).
