Children's Ombudspersons
In its Concluding Observations of 2006, the Committee on the Rights of the Child expressed concern at the lack of an independent mechanism in Swaziland with a specific mandate to monitor and evaluate progress in the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and to receive and address complaints on behalf of, or from, children. The Committee urged the State to establish such an independent body.
