Summary:

This seminar will examine the discrimination that has always affected girls. It will look at legal protection offered to them and will consider issues such as female genital mutilations, domestic violence, girls in jail and sexual exploitation.

It will examine whether education is one of the solutions to such issues, for example, whether it could reduce cases of early marriage, whether it would build both awareness and prevention of AIDS, whether it would facilitate girls’participation in politics and lead to better conditions, economically, for girls.
