The Maldives is preparing for presidential elections scheduled for the 7 September 2013. Four political parties have been campaigning around the country. they all pledge advancements in economy, Education and health and social protection. It is important to look at the pledges from a child rights perspective to understand what could be expected of the elected government in fulfilment of the rights of children.
