Children's Ombudsperson

The Ombudspersons Office (Defensoria de los Habitantes) (http://www.dhr.go.cr/) has a record of receiving and addressing complaints from or on behalf of children. Nonetheless, in its Concluding Observations of 2011, the Committee on the Rights of the Child recommended that the State create a specialised unit for the promotion and protection of chidlren's rights.
