Children's Ombudsperson
The National Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman (Instituto para los Derechos Humanos y Defensoria del Pueblo) was established by Law No. 18.466 of 24 December 2008. The Office is yet to be reviewed by the Committee on the Rights of the Child for compatibility with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
