CHRD report focuses on selected areas, including rights violations in the government’s implementation of China’s family planning policy; the lack of information on deaths of schoolchildren in collapsed school buildings in the 2008 Sichuan earthquake; discrimination against internal migrant children (esp. in education), children with disability, and children of political prisoners and persecuted human rights defenders face; lack of data about persons under the age of 18 detained in Re-education through Labor facilities and data on the persistent and widespread use of child labor; disparities in access to child health care; and persistent problems with trafficking in children.
