This report provides supplementary information on the People's Republic of China's combined 3rd and 4th peridic reports on the implementation of the CRC. HRIC's submission covers two overarching issues impacting the Committee's review of China's report: (1) the availability of relevant data; and (2) the opportunities for independent civil society participation in the implementation and review process. In additiona, HRIC's report covers several specific issues, including: uniform implementation of the CRC and non-discrimination; public awareness and dissemination of the CRC and implementation efforts; economic exploitation of children; and child refugees from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
