Children's Ombudsperson
In its Concluding Observations of 2011, the Committee on the Rights of the Child expressed concern “about the limited progress made towards the establishment of an independent mechanism in compliance with the Paris Principles to monitor and evaluate progress in the implementation of the Convention and to receive and address complaints from children concerning violations of their rights under the convention.” The Committee called on the State to address this deficiency in its human rights monitoring and protection mechanisms.
