This report provides supplementary information for the Committee on the Rights of the Child’s pre-sessional review of Israel in October 2012.
The report focuses on three main fields in which discriminatory state policies have a negative impact on Arab Palestinian children citizens of Israel: health, education and family unification rights.
It details the discriminatory funding and lower quality of state healthcare and education provided to Arab children compared to Jewish children in Israel, as well as the discriminatory ban on family unification between Palestinian families in Israel, which forces thousands of families to live apart, separating children from their parents.
