This report provides supplementary information on “HKSAR/China 3rd & 4th periodic reports” on the implementation of the CRC.
It covers children’s rights issues in Hong Kong with proposed questions for the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child to adopt. These include minority and special needs education, discrimination against students on grounds of sexual orientation, naturalisation and right of abode, human rights protection mechanisms, split families, political participation, privacy violations due to drug test and school CCTV, personal data privacy, censorship, sex education, asylum seekers, refugees and torture claimants, national vs civic education, penal/residential institution (children's prison).
