Intervida and Fundación La Paz would like to invite you to a professional meeting on 10th May to analyse and share new strategies for preventing mistreatment and sexual abuse of children. The event will take place at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

Some of the most relevant experts in this field will share the session with child rights organisations, specialists in the prevention of violence against children, and regional and local institutions.

The act will host:

  • Mr. Félix López, Professor of Psycology of the Sexuality. University of Salamanca
  • Dr. Jorge Antonio Domic, PhD Psycologist and Director, Fundación La Paz, Bolivia
  • Mrs. Elda Moreno, Council of Europe

These experts will debate current strategy and best practice for preventing and overcoming violence against children in the Spanish, European and Latin American contexts, with an emphasis on mistreatment and sexual abuse in the home. The Forum also hopes to provide tools for parents, carers or teachers – as those in charge of protecting children – which will enable them to relate to children tenderly and respectfully.

If this is the reality in the world and it is due to, amongst other things, the fact that violence is accepted in many countries culturally and structurally, why not start the struggle to combat this problem by teaching those that suffer to prevent it, detect it and protect themselves from it?
