Summary:

Our research indicates that in Iran, people may be sentenced to death, life imprisonment and corporal punishment for crimes committed while under the age of 18.

This report was submitted ahead of Iran's review by the Human Rights Committee in October 2011 as part of our campaign against inhuman sentencing of children – defined to include sentences of death, life imprisonment and corporal punishment.
