Summary:
UNICEF HQ seeks a consultant for a two month consultancy on age assessment methodologies. Registering a child’s birth is a vital step towards their protection. Any enforcement of minimum-age legislation depends upon an official record of children’s ages, whether it is to protect them from illegal recruitment by armed forces or armed groups, from early marriage or from hazardous forms of work. The purpose of this consultancy is to document different methodologies for age assessment and the instances when such methodologies would be used.
