The Bernard van Leer Foundation has published the latest edition of its biannual journal, Early Childhood Matters. The last edition focuses on "Transitions in the Early Years: A Learning Opportunity". 

Timed to coincide with the EFA Global Monitoring Report on early childhood, this 58-page edition is entitled Transitions in the early years: A learning opportunity.

Articles include:

  • An overview of the recently-published EFA Global Monitoring Report;
  • A summary of the foundation's framework for the issue area Successful transitions: The continuum from home to school;
  • An interview with John Bennett, who coordinated the OECD's Starting Strong reviews;
  • Contributions from the field from Mississippi, India, Uganda, Guatemala, Poland, Brazil and Israel.
