HAQ:Centre for Child Rights is organising a Panel Discussion on 'Political Economy of Child Rights in India Inc. and Child Budget Analysis' at India Social Forum 2006. The focus of the panel is to discuss the use of 'Child Budget Analysis' to monitor the State's performance towards ensuring the rights India's children. The discussion is especially relevant in the context of the development paradigm that India has adopted.
The highlight of the panel discussion is an experience sharing by a member of Child Rights Protection Forum, Nalgonda on the use of 'Child Budget Analysis' at the panchayat level to hold the government accountable.
