The African Network for Prevention and Protection Against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) Uganda Chapter in conjunction with ANPPCAN Head Office and the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) is organizing the 5th African Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect, to be held in Kampala from the 27th – 29th March 2007. The conference will feature researchers, academicians, practitioners and children. We want to share ideas, experiences, and good practices and research findings on the care and protection of children in the era of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa. Practitioners, researchers and children will also explore strategies for developing and scaling up effective and sustainable responses towards the protection of children living with and those affected by HIV/AIDS.

The theme for this year's conference is:

“HIV/AIDS and children: The challenges of care for and protection of children in Africa”
