event Human Rights Council: Special Event on Children and Violence
The fourth session of the UN Human Rights Council will take place in Geneva from 12 March to 5 April 2007. To complement with the launch of the UN Study on Violence Against Children in October at the General Assembly, the Independent Expert who lead the Study, Paulo Pinheiro will present his report to the HRC at a special event.

news VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN: Side Events organised around the launch
The second day of the launch of the violence study started with a press conference and a meeting between some of the young people and the Crown Prince of Norway. A roundtable discussion between the children and high-level representatives followed, and the day ended with the launch of the child friendly materials of the Study, during which Kofi Annan, the UN Secretary General, made an appearance to express his support for the Study.
