TRIAL raises concerns regarding DRC's domestic criminal legislations, which are not in accordance with the OPAC they both ratified and which calls for measures to be implemented so as to prevent the involvement of children in armed conflict and to prosecute properly those who would have committed this war crime. TRIAL therefore points out how these states do not comply with their international commitments considering the lack of a proper implementation of universal jurisdiction mechanisms to prosecute those responsible for the war crime of involving children in armed conflict.
