On 8 February 2001 the Committee on the Rights off the Child adopted a General Comment on article 29.1 of the CRC, on the aims of education (which will constitute a contribution by the CRC Committee to the World Conference on Racism). The Committee’s first General Comment provides detailed guidance on the implications and interpretation of Art. 29.1
