Children's Ombudsperson

Moldova has a Child's Advocate empowered to investigate complaints from children and act on his or her own initiative. In its Concluding Observations of 2009, the Committee on the Rights of the Child recommended that the State take the necessary measures to ensure that the Advocate has adequate human and financial resources to carry out its functions, and that its mandate should include the responsibility to monitor the implementation of the CRC.
